Steps to becoming a credentialed Church of God Minister in
Western North Carolina

CAMS / Exhorter (See Church of God Book of Minutes for Eligibility)

1. Obtain and Fill Out a New Minister / CAMS Application
2. Submit Application with 2 Letters of Recommendation, a 6 Month Tithe Report, and $45.00 Background Check Fee
3. Local Church Endorsement via Church Conference (Setting Forth)
4. Complete CAMS (Calling and Ministry Studies)
5. Exhorter Testing

MIP / Ordained Minister (See Church of God Book of Minutes for Eligibility)

1. Obtain and Fill Out a Ordained Minister / MIP Application
2. Submit Application with 2 Letters of Recommendation, a 6 Month Tithe Report, and $45.00 Background Check Fee
3. Local Church Endorsement via Church Conference (Setting Forth)
4. Complete MIP
5. Ordained Minister Testing

Ordained Bishop (See Church of God Book of Minutes for Eligibility)

1. Obtain and Fill Out an Ordained Bishop Application
2. Submit Application, a 6 Month Tithe Report, and $45.00 Background Check Fee
3. Local Church Endorsement via Church Conference (Setting Forth)
4. Ordained Bishop Testing
5.Ordination Service at State Camp Meeting / Prayer Gathering
